Botanical Name: Avena sativa
Origin: Bulgaria
Production: Oatstraw is an edible grass that has been cultivated since prehistoric times for its edible, ripened seed (oat groat). It is best harvested when the seed is mature but should still retain green in the stems once dried.

It is highly valued for its support of the nervous system and prescribed to restore balance and a sense of calm in depressed, exhausted, and anxious individuals, or those who are suffering from insomnia.
Common Use: Oatstraw can be brewed as a tea, infusion, or used in a bath.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.
Safety: We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.

A treat for this coming winter
I’ve not opened the organic oat straw yet because I am saving it for this winter — to put out as a treat for the neighbourhood rabbit.

Dry and a bone and brown
Really dissapointed with the quality of this oat straw. I stupidly got two pounds and it’s brown, dry, and smells terrible. Does not look nutrient dense at all.

Oatstraw
After reading Susun ****'s book Menopausal Years, I started making oatstraw infusion years ago. I drink it as a cold tea. There are too many benefits to list them all here. I feel this contributes to my overall health. I'd highly recommend doing a bit of research into this product to see if you could benefit as well.

Love my Oatstraw
oat tops and this make the perfect infusion for its nutritive value, and its one of my go to infusions.
