Botanical Name: Prunus dulcis
Non-GMO, Cultivated without the use of nitrogen-based fertilizers, fungicides, or pesticides.
Production: These almonds originate from a variety of heirloom trees which are sustainably grown without the use of any pesticides or herbicides. Particular attention is given by the farmer to the microbial biodiversity and health of the soil resulting in vigorous, disease resistant plants which produce tasty nuts with pre & probiotic qualities.
Qualities: Almonds are a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins like B2, biotin, and E as well as many essential minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, copper, and zinc. They are also rich in dietary fiber and mono and polyunsaturated fats. Typical of many nuts and seeds, almonds contain phytosterols which have been associated with cholesterol-lowering properties.
Results from a recent study showed evidence that nut consumption (about 20 almonds/day) may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, cardiovascular disease, total cancer, and all-cause mortality, and possibly mortality from diabetes, respiratory disease, and infectious disease.
Common Use: Almonds are commonly enjoyed on their own as a healthy snack, sprinkled over salads or desserts, and used in many culinary dishes both savory or sweet. They come in many forms such raw or toasted, blanched & sliced or diced, as flour or butter, or enjoyed coated in chocolate or Tamari. You can also easily make your own almond milk (blend with water, a couple of dates, a bit of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Then strain through a sprout bag or muslin cloth and enjoy).
Storage: to preserve freshness, keep refrigerated in a sealed container. Temperatures for long-term storage are −3 to 0 °C (27 to 32 °F) and low humidity

I use the Almonds for making Almond milk. I have an Almond Cow machine and the California, sustainably grown almond make excellent nut milk.First time getting Ace Courier delivery , they where very fast and efficient.
We had been searching for a way to purchase organic beans and lentils. Imagine our delighted to discover OM Foods - where organic lentils, beans, nutritional yeast, spices, nuts and more were available for bulk order. Our first order was large - for some reason we trusted quality and delivery protocols with OM and spent over $200.Everything is top quality. Everything arrived carefully packaged in individual, clearly labeled see-through bags. The exception was a light-sensitive product that arrived clearly labeled in packaging that prevented any light from harming the product! The ALMONDS have immense flavour. All the beans and legumes are top-quality at good prices: and buying in bulk means I don't have to run out to the store(s) every week in search of organic lentils/beans/oats/nuts/etc. The NUTRITIONAL YEAST is Red Star, delicious. I highly recommend this company; their products and their delivery are more than commendable (including the wait that is now expected during Covid time). OM Foods now has secured my trust.
