Ingredients: organic darjeeling tea leaf (Camellia sinensis) - Autumnal flush

According to the Tea Board of India - "Darjeeling Tea" can only refer to tea that has been cultivated, grown, produced, manufactured and processed in tea gardens of the West Bengal area in India. Although Darjeeling teas are marketed commercially as "black teas", almost all of them have incomplete oxidation (<90%) and therefore are technically more oolong than black. Darjeeling tea contains caffeine.

The production process to create tea is complicated and each step requires takes a lot of experience and skill. Fresh tea leaves are left to wither in the sun, then tumbled to bruise the leaves in order to allow degrees of oxidation. Finally, the leaves are rolled and heat dried to stop the oxidation process.

Variety:  Autumnal flush is harvested in the autumn after the rainy season, and believd to have a somewhat less delicate flavour and less spicy tones, yet a fuller body and darker colour. Some describe the taste of this darjeeling as balanced, lively with a nutty aroma.
