ORGANIC CARAWAY SEEDS, whole
Botanical Name: Carum carvi
Production: The caraway plant is similar in appearance to other members of the carrot family, with green, feathery leaves. The seeds (actually the fruits) are crescent shaped with small ridges.
Qualities: Caraway has a warming, aromatic flavour, that is sometimes considered to be similar to that of anise seed.
Common Use: Caraway is often used in breads (especially rye), soups, pickles, coleslaw, sauerkraut and teas.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark location in a sealed container.
