Botanical Name: Laminaria
Production: Hand-picked and sun-cured from the clean, cold waters of Canada's West coast.
Qualities: Kombu is known for tenderizing proteins and supporting healthy digestion. It is also a great source of iron and iodine.
Common Use: Kombu is mildly salty and has a subtle sweetness. It can be simmered in broths, soups, stews, casseroles, and bean or rice dishes.
