I like ‘em. They’re like sunbutter w/out the sun (or the butter?). They’re good for chewing. Cheaper than cashews….and not a legume like peanuts (peanuts are a legume, who knew!). They’re especially good for sprinkling. Yes I am a grown man who sprinkles.. Plus - you don’t have to buy the whole sunflower (try putting that in your shopping bag!).
I use these tasty sunflower seeds with the Quinoa Flakes Quick Oats Raisins Cranberry and Pumpkins seeds to make my oatmeal. I top it up after cooking with Peanut Butter and Demara Sugar or fresh fruit.Very tasty and Healthy.
Physical quality is decent, seed shelling and cleaning are pretty good, few broken seeds. Broken seeds will give a batch of seeds a rancid flavor. But, these seeds come from China, home of "we make it as cheap as you want" so my questions are:Are they really organic? Is the grower committed to organic farming?Does the seed processor care about the quality of their product. These questions are pertinent for growers and processors here in North America as well. I like to think growers & processors here have some integrity, but when you look at NA politicians that thought seems foolish. My review is from purchasing a pound sample, and have now ordered a 50 lb bag of seeds.
