ORGANIC HONEYBUSH TEA
SKU: HTT12-025
Hurry up! Sales Ends In
Origin: South Africa
Production: Similar to the production of black or green teas, the leaves of the honeybush are harvested, cut and bruised (often with mechanical rollers), and then exposed to heat for several days to allow oxidation.
Qualities: Honeybush, named after the smell of its flowers, grows only in small areas of South Africa and has many similarities with the more commonly know Rooibos plant. The tea brewed from the honeybush plant is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Common Use: Honeybush leaves brew to a deep red color in 3-4 minutes and make a sweet, smooth, fruity, tea that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. Unlike tea prepared from Camellia sinensis (most white, green, oolong and black teas), honeybush tea does not turn bitter with longer simmering, and it does not contain any caffeine.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.
Safety: We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.

ORGANIC HONEYBUSH TEA
Totally encourage anyone interested in this tea to purchase and enjoy it. PHot water around 190F for 3 minutes is enough time in the pot.
Delicious!
I was running out of Rooibos and thought it would be nice to try something slightly different. No regrets. I like the slight honey taste of honeybush and it has higher antioxidants than rooibis too. If you steep it awhile, it gets quite dark! OM consistently delivers :)
Light, bright,smooth
It is the perfect “pick me up” after working outside, in the garden, firewood etc, etc.Put on the kettle, fill the tea ball and sit down or carry the mug outside with me..Perfect.
Delicious
I add 1 teaspoon of the tea leaves to about 250ml (about 8 oz) of freshly boiled water. Steep for about 5 to 7 minutes. The tea is delicious. The taste is slightly floral with honey notes. This is a good quality honebush tea.
