Hurry up! Sales Ends In
Botanical Name: Nepeta cataria
Cultivation: Catnip is one of the many species of the mint or Lamiaceae family with square stems and terminal flower spikes. Native to the dry and temperate regions of the Mediterraneans, it is now widely cultivated throughout the world.
Qualities: Catnip has a long history of medical use for a variety of ailments and as a culinary addition to many recipes. Most commonly it has been consumed to calm nervousness, promote restful sleep, and to soothe digestive and emotional disturbances in children and infants.
Catnip is also very commonly known for its effect on cats, often causing playfulness and bliss. It can be a useful tool for training cats, making certain areas more appealing than others. (ie. sprinkled near a scratching post to promote its use rather than the furniture.)
Common Use: Catnip can be consumed as a tea, tincture, infusion, or poultice. For your feline friends, create a Catnip toy or sprinkle some in a dish to enjoy. Catnip essential oil has been used as fragrance or culinary flavoring and most recently become popularized as a natural insect repellant.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.

My cat loves this stuff. I took the catnip bag and put it away and she could smell it on all other bags of product I received. She rubbed up on everything that I had ordered and was in the box. Never seen her do that before, just a little obsessed!
