Production: Bentonite clay is formed from the weathering of volcanic ash, then carefully mined to keep out impurities out. The clay is subsequently kiln-dried, milled, and screened to size.
Qualities: Calcium Bentonite clay is a very fine, odorless, and powderlike product with a greenish tint. It is silica-based and colloidal in nature, meaning the particles suspended in liquid without breaking down or dissolving, and therefore do not get digested. Holding a high concentration of minerals such as silica, magnesium, iron, sodium, calcium, and potassium, Bentonite is widely used for both internal and external uses such as for detoxes and cleansing purposes. Bentonite is fairly unique in that it holds an electrical charge when in contact with liquid, therefore binding itself to other molecules, removing stains from hard surfaces and pulling toxins from a human body.
Common Use: calcium Bentonite clay is suitable for both external and internal use.
- For a purifying homemade face mask, combine clay with honey or water until they become a paste, and apply generously to your face avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and gently wash off with lukewarm water and your skin will thank you! You can also add ½ a cup to a hot bath.
- When ingested, food-grade Bentonite has a variety of cleansing properties, but must be approached cautiously. It has been known to stabilize gut bacteria, settle the stomach after vomiting or diarrhea, and assist with thyroid function and cancer cells.

This clay is perfect for toothpaste and deodorant. I use it in both. After using the toothpaste my gums stopped bleeding when I brushed. Since this toothpaste is so nourishing I don't rinse it out after brushing. I eliminate the excess into the sink and leave whatever is left to work on my teeth overnight. The deodorant works great too! I'm very satisfied. Thank you OM for providing this product.

I use this for both my dog and I mixed with purified water from my Berkey to ingest often for detoxing from heavy metals, pesticides, parasites, and anything else that may be lurking about inside of our bodies. I also use it to bath in and for hair/face masks and foot baths.

I have been using this for a while now in small amounts for my dog and I. I add mine to purified water and drink it. I add hers to her food. I don’t use metal spoons or utensils to scoop and mix it and store it in an old airtight Tupperware container. It’s great for a monthly 3 day detox starting the day before a full moon with activated charcoal and diatomaceous earth for a parasite cleanse.

My experience with clay powder has been great for a long time. My mother use to have problems with her digestive system(intestine) and she healed herself with clay. I know that clay bentonite is higher quality than the green clay. So can't wait for my husband and I to start trying the product for our digestive system as well. I put a thea spoon of clay in a glass of water and I leave it for the night. The next morning, I mix it together and I drink it. Thank you!
