Baking soda is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. It is a crystalline salt composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions. It has a slightly salty, alkaline taste resembling that of washing soda (sodium carbonate). Our Baking Soda is a pure, natural sodium bicarbonate, produced from underground deposits in Colorado, USA, where the raw material is extracted with hot water, recrystallized, dried and screened to powder.
Common use: Sodium bicarbonate is amphoteric, capable of neutralizing both acids and bases and its applications are wide-ranging. It is well known as an odor absorber, as a non-toxic cleaning agent and rust remover, can be used to help remove splinters and relieve insect bites, is often found as an ingredient in toothpaste and deodorants, can be applied as a fungicide or as a fire extinguisher, and many more. When referred to as "baking soda", is primarily used for baking purposes as a rising agent. Heat (temperatures above 80°C), as well as acidic components in batters, cause the release of carbon dioxide gas which bubbles resulting in the expansion of a batter or dough and thus creating a lighter texture. Sodium bicarbonate can be substituted for Baking Powder provided sufficient acid reagent is added to the recipe.
Storage: store in a cool, dark, dry place in a well-sealed container.

Ever heard of Amazon?
I want a large quantity of baking soda to make washing soda because one is very cheap and the other is quite expensive. I think cheap is $0.30 $100 g which is what I pay Amazon for next day delivery to my door. (PS I ordered it in 2 minutes while in my bathrobe on Sunday!) Does management of your company compare prices? Your price, without shipping, is $0.42/100g. Don't you know any one can do what I just did? "Google, what is the best price for baking soda?" What is the matter with you?

NATURAL!!! Baking Soda, and why this is important!
Let's highlight the fact that this baking soda is from the brand "Natural". That's the brand name. And it's REAL sodium bicarbonate! It's mined in Colorado and is far superior to the mass-produced, non-natural A&H brand we all know from the grocery store. I am SOOOO glad to have found a Canadian supplier of this brand for my natural deodorants because it doesn't cause ph reactions like lesser-quality brands. Yay!!!!

Love the baking soda. How I received it was not great. Bag was broken inside box…so some was lost due to shipping. Other than that i am pleased with the product
