Botanical Name: Withania somnifera
Production: Our Ashwagandha, c/s is made from the roots only. Belonging to the tomato family, Ashwagandha is a plump shrub with oval leaves and yellow flowers, bearing small red fruits. The herb is native to the dry regions of India, northern Africa, and the Middle East, and today is also grown in more mild climates, including the United States.
Qualities: Ashwagandha (aka Indian Ginseng) is one of the most well-known and widely used Ayurvedic herbs as it contains many useful medicinal chemicals, including withanolides (steroidal lactones), alkaloids, choline, fatty acids, amino acids, and a variety of sugars. While the leaves and fruit have valuable therapeutic properties, the root of the Ashwagandha plant is the part most commonly used in Western herbal remedies.
The list of health promoting qualities attributed to Ashwagandha root range from protecting the immune system, anti-inflammatory benefits, helping with concentration and combating the effects of stress, to improving sleep and reducing anxiety and depression. Overall, Ashwagandha is most well-known for its restorative and vitality promoting benefits, supporting an energetic and rejuvenating sense of wellbeing.
Common Use: Ashwagandha is typically prepared as a tea, liquid herbal extract, in herbal capsules (in powder form), added to food, or directly consumed.

Great product, slow delivery.
I'm not sure if I felt that much different after drinking it for a month or so, but I really enjoy the taste of , and I think it helped with the hot flashes. It didn't help me sleep, in fact I stopped taking it at night because it was keeping me awake. But I really enjoy the taste of it. I have not re-ordered because the first shipment took 10 days to get here from Nelson, which I thought was ridiculous when you can get things from China for less time.

great quality product
I bought ASHWAGANDHA to make a tincture. It is great quality root, the smell of it is while being steeping in alcohol is incredible. For sure, it is potent and high quality product. Looking forward taking my tincture once it is ready.
Great disgusting herb ! First time i ever buy it. I do not have any comparison. The taste is awful as that is not intended to be culinary. Though, the medicinal is potent. I highly recommend one a day to somebody suffering from fatigue after extended adrenaline pulsion.
