Rhassoul clay is a truly exquisite, spa quality clay. Mined from the Atlas mountains of Morocco,It is sun dried and untreated. When first mined, Rhassoul clay appears as a polished brown, soap-like clay, which is chunky in appearance and resembling rocks. After further refinement and micronization, this mineral rich clay becomes a smooth, almost silken earth which blends extremely well with water, making its application to the face and skin a smooth and delightful experience.
Benefits: Rhassoul is considered to contain higher percentages of silica and magnesium than other clays and due to its greater ability to swell with the addition of water, this clay achieves better results in skin treatment. Rhassoul Clay's most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity of absorption due to its high level of ion exchange. Studies have shown that it is reputed to reduce dryness and flakiness as well as improve skin clarity and elasticity. It is rich in magnesium, Silica, potassium and calcium.
Application: It can be used in soaps, shampoos, facial and body masks, as well as in skin conditioners. Due to its many therapeutic benefits such as rejuvenating, detoxing, and toning of the skin, this clay has been used for over 12 centuries by populations in North Africa, Southern Europe and the Middle East. I have been using this clay for some time as a facial mask. I make the mask by adding raw honey, this clay and little water and leave it on my face for 20 minutes. It does wonders to my skin- results are soft and smooth skin. Now I am using the clay as a shampoo as well and again results are great for my itchy scalp. Thanks to OM for carrying such good products.

Recently I've started washing my hair with this clay instead of shampoos. The result is beyond my expectations. After using it less than a month my scalp wasn't itchy anymore, hair stopped falling out and hair felt clean and silky. Thank you for the product!
